Psalm 119:105 — Meaning & Reflection
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Scripture gives enough light for the next step.
Background
Psalm 119 is the longest psalm, an acrostic celebrating God's Word in every one of its 176 verses.
Teaching
Ancient lamps lit only a few steps ahead. God's Word may not show the whole road, but it lights where we walk now. Faithfulness means taking the next lit step.
Reflect
- What next step does God's Word make clear to me?
- How can I make time in Scripture daily?
Prayer
Lord, let Your Word light my path today. Help me follow the light You give. Amen.
